Parenting allows me to know how to multitask, I can manage a household while managing an entirely remote team.

Previously, when I was in private equity, parenting two kids helped me provide prospective to our ownership team because two of our portfolio companies were children's entertainment companies.

Being a parent has allowed me to understand many different perspectives and I can run my team in a way that allows me to understand their individual contributions and how that makes the company run smoothly overall.

Please share any tips or insights you can offer to other working parents.

Boundaries are important! Make sure you establish them within your job and within your home. If you leave the office at 5, actually leave the office. Focus on your kids when you are with them, and use your voice to explain to both stakeholders that work is at work, and home is at home.

I started my company during the pandemic, then became a single mom and juggle it all.
